Seventy-plus locations, one platform — how Campus & Co re-platformed a national network.

A national university retail network was running on a patchwork of systems that could not scale. We moved the whole operation onto one modern eCommerce foundation — consistent, centrally managed, built to grow.

At a glance

Campus & Co runs retail across a national network of university campuses — more than 70 locations, each one a shop that students and staff rely on every day.

Those 70-plus locations had grown up on a patchwork of different systems, and the patchwork had stopped scaling. We re-platformed the entire operation onto one modern eCommerce foundation — consistent at every site, managed centrally by one team, and built so a new location is a quick addition rather than a fresh engineering project.

The engagement

How Campus & Co moved 70+ locations onto one platform.

Three stages, from a patchwork that had stopped scaling to a national network that finally runs as one.

01

Seventy-plus locations, almost as many ways of doing things.

Campus & Co had expanded location by location, and each had been set up with whatever system made sense at the time. The result was a patchwork: different platforms, different configurations, no single source of truth. What worked at one campus did not necessarily exist at the next.

For the central team, that patchwork was a daily tax. A change had to be made many times over, in many places. Reporting meant stitching numbers together by hand. And adding a new campus was not a routine step — it was a small engineering project every time, which put a hard ceiling on how fast the network could grow.

02

One modern platform, every location on it.

We re-platformed the whole operation onto a single modern eCommerce foundation. Rather than a risky all-at-once switch, the migration was staged location by location, so the network kept trading throughout and each campus moved across cleanly.

The new platform was designed around the thing that had been missing: consistency with central control. Every location runs the same system, every location can be managed from one place, and the architecture treats a new campus as configuration rather than construction.

03

A national network that finally runs as one.

All 70-plus locations now run on one platform, managed centrally by one team. A change is made once and applies everywhere. Reporting is unified rather than reassembled by hand. And a new campus can be brought online in days, not weeks — the ceiling on growth is gone.

The Operations Lead’s verdict was about how the work was run as much as the result: across three time zones, the build ran like clockwork — premium quality, sensible cost, and no hand-holding required from their side.

Across three time zones they ran our build like clockwork. Premium quality, sensible costs, and no hand-holding required from our side. Rare combination.
