A letter from the founder

I started Dream Steps with one belief — and we still run on it.

I started Dream Steps in 2015 with a simple belief — that great design and technology should be accessible to every business, not just the big ones. Ten years later, that belief has not changed. We have just got a lot better at delivering it.

We started in 2015 with design and branding work. Small logos, packaging projects, identities for businesses in the UK and locally in Noida. As the work landed, clients asked us if we could build the websites too. Then the apps. Then, more recently, if we could help them use AI in the parts of their business that were eating their week.

Ten years later, we're 40 professionals across design, engineering, AI, and client services — all full-time, all in our Noida office. We've delivered for over 1,000 businesses in more than 20 countries. We still take on logo projects. We also ship platforms that millions of people use. The thing that hasn't changed is what we look for in a project: a real business problem, a client who actually wants to solve it, and the willingness to do the unglamorous work to get there.

Our story

From one designer in 2015 to a 40-person company in 2026.

Seven milestones in ten years. None of them accidental.

2015 Founded

Vikas founds Dream Steps Technologies in Noida.

One laptop, one client, one room. The first invoice goes out for a logo and brand identity for a UK retailer. The early belief: do design well, and the rest will follow.

2016 First UK client

Word of mouth carries the work into the UK market.

Our first UK client signs on for a brand identity project. A small design community in London starts referring us. The UK quickly becomes our biggest market and stays that way for the next decade.

2018 100 projects

A hundred projects in. Team grows past ten.

Logo work turns into brand systems. Brand systems turn into WordPress builds. We bring in our first full-time engineers. Laravel and React enter the daily stack. First Australian client signs on.

2020 Mobile launched

iOS and Android become a real service line.

A handful of clients ask for mobile apps in the same year. We build out a dedicated mobile team and ship our first apps to the App Store and Google Play. Door2Door in Belize comes on as a long-term client.

2022 500 businesses

Halfway to a thousand. Long-term clients renew for the third time.

We pass 500 businesses helped. eCommerce, Shopify, and Amazon storefront work grow into a steady line. Our first Middle East clients come on through the UAE. The first clients from 2017 sign on for their fourth and fifth projects — which becomes the pattern we're known for.

2024 AI added

AI moves from side projects to a core service.

We start shipping LLM features into client products — smarter search, automated lead routing, AI assistants on customer-support channels. For GreenergyAir in North Carolina, we build a custom AI monitoring system alongside their website rebuild and Google Ads programme.

2026 1,000+ served

40 professionals. Three continents. More than 20 countries served.

We pass 1,000 businesses helped. 40 professionals across design, engineering, AI, and client services. Working with clients in the UK, USA, Ireland, Australia, the Middle East, Europe and beyond. Same operating model we started with in 2015 — now with the team to deliver on it at scale.

We understand before we build.

Most agencies pitch deliverables before they understand the business. We do the opposite. The first conversation is about your customers, your margins, your team, the thing that keeps you up at 2am. Then we work out what to build.

We think long term, not just this project.

Half of our work each year comes from clients we've had for three years or more. A handful have been with us for over five. We optimise for the relationship, not the invoice — which usually means saving you money on the first project.

We communicate like humans, not agencies.

No jargon. No status reports that say nothing. No surprise change orders. You hear from a real person on your project every week. If something is going off-track, you'll know about it before it becomes a problem.

Who founded Dream Steps?

Dream Steps Technologies was founded in 2015 by Vikas Upadhyay. Vikas runs the company today as Founder and CEO, and personally takes the first call on every new project.

Our office is in Noida, India. All 40 professionals on the team work from there. We deliver for clients across the UK, USA, Ireland, Australia, the Middle East, Europe and worldwide — and we work in our clients’ time zones.
