Industries — one engineering team, every sector

Industries we engineer for — one team, the discipline every sector needs.

Since 2015 we have shipped 1,000+ products across healthcare, finance, retail, education, SaaS, and more. We are not a single-industry shop. We bring the same engineering discipline to each sector — and we learn the domain that makes yours different before we build.

Six more industries where we have shipped real, working software.

Retail & eCommerce

Storefronts built to convert, multi-location retail networks, and the central systems that run them — on Shopify and custom platforms. Campus & Co is one example.

HVAC & home services

Fast, lead-generating websites, booking and quote flows, and field tools for service businesses. GreenergyAir — a Florida HVAC company — is one of ours.

Education & EdTech

Learning products, school and course platforms, and apps children and parents actually use. Little Reads — a reading app 4,000+ families open weekly — is one.

Professional services

Websites and tools for firms that sell expertise — legal, accounting, consulting, agencies — built to win trust on the first scroll and to run the work behind it.

Marketplaces

Two-sided platforms — matching supply and demand, handling payments, and building the trust and reliability that make people come back to both sides.

Hospitality & travel

Booking and reservation flows, guest-facing apps, and the operational tools behind them — built for the peaks, the no-shows, and the edge cases real travel throws up.

Questions

Questions about industry experience.

Do you specialise in one industry?

No — and we think that is a strength, not a gap. Over ten years and 1,000+ products we have worked across healthcare, finance, retail, education, SaaS, home services, hospitality, and more. The engineering problems that decide whether software succeeds — performance, security, reliability, scale, a clean architecture — are largely the same across sectors. A pattern that solved a problem in retail often transfers cleanly to SaaS. What we do per industry is learn the domain that makes yours specific: the rules, the users, the constraints. Broad engineering depth plus focused domain learning beats a single-industry shop that only knows one playbook.

Have you worked in healthcare, fintech, or our specific sector before?

Most likely, yes — healthcare, fintech, and B2B SaaS are featured above precisely because they are work we know well, and the broader sector list covers retail, education, home services, professional services, marketplaces, and hospitality. With 1,000+ products shipped, the odds are good that we have built something close to your sector. On a discovery call we can talk through the directly relevant work, and for a serious engagement we can usually arrange a reference with a past client whose project is close to yours. If your exact niche is genuinely new to us, we will say so plainly — and explain how we get up to speed.

Can you handle regulated industries and compliance — HIPAA, PCI, SOC 2?

Yes, on the engineering side. We build the technical controls that compliance frameworks require — access control, encryption at rest and in transit, managed secrets, audit logging, network isolation, careful data handling — and we build them into the software and infrastructure from the start, rather than bolting them on before an audit. That applies to HIPAA in healthcare, PCI DSS in payments, and SOC 2 for SaaS. The honest boundary: we are not a compliance auditor or a law firm, and certification is a process you run with the appropriate assessor. We are the engineering team that makes your software and infrastructure ready to pass that process.

Does industry experience actually matter for building software?

It matters in a specific way. The engineering — how you build something fast, secure, and reliable — is largely industry-agnostic, and that is the larger part of the work. What industry experience changes is the domain: the rules a sector operates under, the edge cases its users hit, the expectations its customers carry, the workflows that are obvious to an insider and invisible to an outsider. A good engineering team closes that gap deliberately at the start of a project, by learning the domain from the people who live in it. The mistake is assuming domain knowledge can substitute for engineering quality, or the reverse — you need both.

What if our industry is not listed here?

The sectors on this page are illustrative, not a closed list. We have shipped across far more industries than the few featured here, and a sector not being named does not mean it is unfamiliar — or that it would be a problem if it were. The right first step is a discovery call: tell us the industry and what you are trying to build, and we will give you an honest read on how relevant our experience is and how we would approach the domain. If we are genuinely not the right team for it, we will tell you on that call.

How do you get up to speed on a domain you do not know well?

Deliberately, and at the start — it is the first phase of every engagement. We spend real time with the people who know the domain: your team, and where it helps, your customers. We map the workflows, the rules, the edge cases, and the language of the sector before any building begins, and we write that understanding down so it is shared rather than trapped in one person’s head. Software fails far more often from misunderstanding the problem than from a coding mistake, so the discovery and domain-learning phase is not overhead — it is what makes the build land.

Can you work with our existing industry-specific systems?

Yes — most established businesses run on systems specific to their sector, and new software almost always has to fit alongside them. We build integrations with the platforms, data sources, and tools your industry depends on, and where an older system itself needs to be brought forward, that is modernisation work we do every day. We do not require you to rip out what works. The goal is software that fits cleanly into the operation you already run, connects to what it needs to connect to, and leaves you with one coherent system rather than another disconnected island.

Ready when you are

Whatever sector you are in, the engineering bar is the same.

Tell us your industry and what you are trying to build. We will come back with an honest read on how relevant our experience is, how we would approach the domain, and a realistic shape for the work.

What to expect

A 30-minute conversation about the sector, the constraints it puts on the build, and what you want to ship. No slide deck, no pitch.

You walk away with

An honest read on fit, a rough shape for the work, a realistic timeline, and a sensible cost.
